Guess what goofy aaa AU is finally actually starting

JSaB: Data Mind

Have I done all the lore yet? No. Are all the characters fully developed? Nope. Is the map completely planned out and every little thing is ready? Not at all, but on this day, last year, was when I first made Data Mind and started its humble little beginning, so it feels right to start it now!

So, what is Data Mind, and what's to be expected?

Quick story and info:

Data Mind is a JSaB and TPC alternate universe, where a rift has formed in Paradise, connected to the worlds of Geometry Dash and Project Arrhythmia. It takes place roughly two months after the fourth corruption has been sealed away, so it isn't an active threat at the moment. Every JSaB level except Mortal Kombat is a character, but it's good to note that all the bosses are sealed away since they're the masters of the corruption.

My take on the corruption is that it's something of a natural lingering threat. It existed before the bosses, and it'll always exist in the world. However, the bosses long ago manipulated the natural corruption into something more problematic. When the bosses are corrupted, they become something of a leader that can control the corrupted, making it like a hive mind with the intention to take over Paradise. With the bosses gone, unnatural corrupted shapes become aggressive and unfiltered, but don't have a leader to follow and no goals to chase, making them much less threatening.

While there's of course the canon JSaB levels, there's also many songs as characters that aren't in the game. The list of songs as characters will only go up over time. Along with this, the rift causes GD and PA characters to potentially fall in. Could be accidental, which is pretty rare, or it could be on purpose. The rift is in the sky of JSaB, but appears as small glitches in PA and GD. These glitches are extremely common in PA, as it's where it originated and their world is in a post-apocalyptic state.

The story focuses on what I like to call the "rhythm trio". Dash from GD, Nano from PA, and Cyan, in JSaB. The main focus of the story is about the JSaB characters learning about the rift and the new shapes falling to their land.

How the story will progress and be layed out:

I'm planning on this story being pretty laid back. There's not going to constantly be big events happening and there isn't one universal goal the characters are trying to achieve. Some of the levels have problems they're actively solving, and problems may pop up during the story as well. They can be small things resolved in a week, or something that snowballs into a bigger issue.

Also, very important, I am not planning on making this a comic. Comics are super cool and make it very easy to learn and keep up with the story, but in full honesty, I just... don't have the talent or stamina for that. Comics take me a very long time to do and if the story progressed mainly through them, I'm worried that I'd get burnt out before page 5. I apologize, but at the end of the day I prioritize my energy and mentality. The story will likely progress more through smaller art pieces and typing down the story around it.

The canon JSaB levels:

- Chronos: young dark purple pentagon with a functioning clock necklace. Shy and laid back, has lingering corruption.

- Milky Ways: tall purple square, mom to Unlocked. Brave and very relaxed, but also snaps very quickly when her or someone she cares about it threatened.

- Logic Gatekeeper: sassy and secretive green pentagon, older brother to Flowers of Antimony. Likes to surf at Dion Beach which has lead to a mild resistance against lesser corrupted waters.

- The Art of War: red triangle with a large antenna he weighs down. Lives in Derelict City with his sister and tends to be very social.

- Termination Shock: energetic green pentagon, caretaker to the green hero. Became resistant to corrupted waters under the tree's influence and sealed away the second corruption.

- Sevcon: quiet and introverted blue circle. Wishes to learn how to socialize but is held back from her struggles with controlling her abilities. Has mild lingering corruption.

- Cascade: pink square, constantly running around and getting into trouble. They're close friends with On the Run and the two often spar.

- Dubwoofer Substep: blue circle, appears intimidating but is more friendly upon spending time with him. Has a very uneasy background with Cheat Codes. Hates getting into fights, but loves swinging his hammer at things whenever he gets the chance. Has heavy lingering corruption.

- Cheat Codes: blue square, top half of head is robotic. She's the caretaker of Cyanide, and wife to Vindicate Me. Became very paranoid and quiet after the events of the fourth corruption, but has started regaining herself since taking Cyanide.

- Clash: grey rounded square, healer and potion brewer. Doesn't ever fight with the intentions of hurting someone, but will always help in a fight on the sidelines. Likes to spar with Born Survivor, and has lingering corruption.

- Cool Friends: pink square, loves to spar and fight. Was given a divine weapon, passed down by his dad. Learned to fight under Katana Blaster's guidance, but fights very recklessly.

- The Lunar Whale: light blue square, very quiet and tends to speak in indirect ways. Enjoys dancing to music at night, sometimes other shapes will quietly watch. She doesn't mind as long as they don't intervene.

- Spectra: pink hexagon, very snarky and easily aggravated. Loosely related to Spider Dance and has personal beef with Paper Dolls that flares up the second she sees him. Has heavy lingering corruption.

- Unlocked: young purple square, very energetic and lighthearted. Because of how curious and innocent they are, their parents, Milky Ways and Interlaced, are very often accompanying them.

- Into the Zone: pink square, half forced purified. Very social and tends to be a perfectionist. Energy was heavily hindered after being purified, but hates having to rely on others for anything.

- Vindicate Me: quiet and relaxed purple circle, tends to avoid conflict. Mysteriously disappeared during the fourth corruption, and is still missing. Has mild lingering corruption.

- Try This: orange circle, heavily hurt from the corruption. Very quiet and easily irritated, caretaker to the orange hero. Sealed away the first corruption and became resistant to blunt corruption attacks upon becoming a caretaker.

- Airborne Robots: robotic purple square, lives in Derelict City at the city lab. Close friends with Born Survivor and lost his abilities over time, now almost powerless.

- Interlaced: easygoing and extroverted pink square, very overprotective and often quick to assume. Is quiet strong for a shape, but doesn't have any strong opinions on fighting or sparring.

- Last Tile: hyper and enthusiastic green circle, older sister of Crystal Tokyo. Fights with a bow and arrows but tends to be clumsily if she takes her time to draw the string.

- Born Survivor: pink square, very friendly and lighthearted. Almost always listening or playing music when he's alone, and prefers to avoid fighting. Natural pure scars and marks make him rely on external power sources often.

- Legacy: social light teal pentagon, always trying to be seen. Envies Katana Blaster and On the Run. Has little powers, but very much wants to be seen and looked up to.

- Wicked: red octagon with metal patches. Very insecure and runs a small lab hidden away. Experimented on Core, and created Deadlocked. Many shapes dislike him.

- First Crush: young yellow circle, constantly trying to help others. Quite selfless and easygoing, and close friends with Creatures Ov Deception.

- Yokuman Stage: young yellow pentagon, very curious and adventurous, and very often gets lost and finds himself in various regions of Paradise. Has heavy lingering corruption.

- Paper Dolls: extroverted and mischievous yellow square, tries to stay isolated due to his insecurities. Steals and pockets a lot of things and likes to be over or nearby lakes and water.

- Commando Steve: blue circle, tends to stay pretty quiet and solitude. Worked alongside Wicked for a while, immediately left when he saw his goals.

- Houston: easygoing and cheerful pink square, always wears her hat. Avid bird keeper and happily dating Tokyo Skies. She doesn't have any powers, but is good at evading conflict.

- Hype: young green square, loves causing mayhem and ticking off other shapes. Has steel beams of wings but can't at all fly, so uses them to walk often since he easily gets tired of walking normally.

- Tokyo Skies: kind and easygoing pink square, quite strong and won't hesitate to fight. She weilds a whip and can draw it at staggering speeds. Very close to Houston and refuses to ever leave her side.

- Dance of the Incognizant: green circle, covers most of their face with their scarf. Is very easily annoyed and has zero tolerance for anyone. Has personal beef with Granite.

- Fox: tall pink circle, brothers with Lycanthropy. Tries constantly to bring back the corruption in hopes of being reunited with his brother. Seems cheery, but is only that way around others. Has heavy lingering corruption.

- Core: young pink square, extremely timid and quick to hide away. Lives alone in the forest, until meeting Tangent. Very easily loses control of his energy and powers from past trauma.

- Crystal Tokyo: quiet green circle, spends most of their time alone. Used to be extremely passionate about fighting, but lost their eye during the fourth corruption. Hasn't faced conflict since.

- On the Run: light blue pentagon, heavily respects the heroes and caretakers. Trains constantly to avoid a very close call from the corruption in the past. The event still haunts him constantly and he beats himself up over it.

- Creatures Ov Deception: dark blue circle, and one of the most respected shapes under the caretakers. Treats the heroes as if he was a caretaker, and weilds a divine weapon. Very patient, and listens to others' problems and tries to help.

- Deadlocked: pink robot square, created by Wicked. Barely ever let outside the lab and is left very narrow minded. Can't be corrupted.

- Granite: lighthearted yellow triangle, and caretaker to the yellow hero. Worn down from sealing the third corruption, but remains caring and social as ever. Is very considerate and knew a few things from having two siblings, so he helped lift Gold and Orange's spirits.

- Lightspeed: energetic orange triangle, loves sparking friendly rivalries and sparring. Will often challenge other shapes to races or fights, but gets uneasy if he loses.

- Katana Blaster: purple triangle, well known warrior. Taught Try This how to fight corruption and took Cool Friends under his wing to teach him fighting as well. Has lots of respect for the heroes and caretakers and wishes to have a divine weapon to help fight.

- Strike the Earth: quiet and kind blue square, caretaker to the cyan hero. Became immune to corrupted crystals upon becoming a caretaker. Has become very anxious and quiet since losing Cyan, and has an emotional support monstercat named Clay.

- Flowers of Antimony: friendly and young green pentagon, Logic Gatekeeper's younger brother. Has the unique ability to calm corrupted shapes to be purified, but strained his voice too far and can no longer talk. Logic Gatekeeper and Into the Zone often help translate what he's trying to say to others.

- In the Halls of the Usurper: quiet pink circle, travels all over Paradise researching old ruins and relics. Has mild DID which leads to taking notes over everything they do.
